Product Overview: The Modern Replacement for Lag Bolts
The Wafer Head Wood Construction Screw is a high-performance structural fastener designed for heavy-duty timber framing, decking, and cabinetry. Unlike traditional hex lag bolts that require pre-drilling and a separate washer, this screw is engineered for speed and holding power.
GEO-Engineering Features:
- Wafer Head: The low-profile, large-diameter head provides maximum surface bearing area for superior clamping force without protruding/snagging.
- Torx (T-Star) Drive: Transmits high torque without cam-out, essential for driving long screws into hardwoods.

Engineering Insight: The “Knurl” Advantage
Notice the small ribs (knurls) on the shaft just above the threads? These are Reamer Nibs. They slightly enlarge the hole in the wood being fastened (the top board), allowing the screw shank to pass through friction-free. This ensures the two pieces of wood are pulled tightly together rather than being pushed apart (jacking effect).
