Product Overview: The Standard for Interior Construction

The Handan Bolt Drywall Screw (also known as a Gypsum Screw or Sheetrock Screw) is the definitive fastener for attaching gypsum board (drywall) to wall studs or ceiling joists. Manufactured to the DIN 18182 standard, our screws are engineered from Case Hardened C1022A steel, specifically heat-treated to penetrate steel studs without snapping, while retaining enough ductility to withstand structural shifting.

Primary Function: Its signature feature is the “Bugle Head,” a trumpet-like shape that allows the screw to depress the surface of the drywall without tearing the outer paper layer, creating a smooth dimple perfect for finishing with joint compound.

Engineering Insight: Thread Geometry Selection

Choosing the correct thread is critical for holding power. We produce two distinct geometries:

1. Coarse Thread (S-Thread)

Designed for fastening drywall to Wood Studs. The wide spacing between threads bites deep into the wood grain, providing maximum pull-out resistance and faster driving speeds.

2. Fine Thread (Twinfast)

Designed for fastening drywall to Light Gauge Metal Studs (up to 0.8mm). The double-lead thread (Twinfast) has a tighter pitch that grips the thin metal sheet securely. The sharp point pierces the steel instantly, acting like a self-tapping screw.

Surface Treatment: Phosphate vs. Zinc

  • Black/Grey Phosphate: The industry standard. It offers mild corrosion resistance but, more importantly, its microscopic texture provides an excellent bond for paint and joint compound (mud), preventing “screw pops” or rust bleed-through.
  • Zinc Plated (Yellow/Blue): Recommended for high-humidity areas (bathrooms, basements) or for exterior sheathing projects where superior rust protection is required.

Production Capabilities

Our facility can produce screws ranging from a compact 13mm (1/2″) up to an extended 152mm (6″) for multi-layer fireproof drywall installations. We strictly control the case hardening depth to prevent hydrogen embrittlement.
